Make-A-Wish Trip Part 4..... (Wednesday)
please feel free to click on images to enlarge....

click on part 1, part 2, part 3 to see them....

Hello Everyone...

It has been a while since I have updated my blog continuing my trip. I have been busy with moving, unpacking, school and life in general. Mom and I went to La Jolla one weekend to see the Harbor Seals - had a blast! Another time, we went to see the baby Panda Bear at the San Diego Zoo. That was fun too. One day he slept the whole time, only opening his eyes to re-position. The other day, he was all over the place. And I just started Little League again this year. So busy! Anyway, back to my Make-A-Wish trip.. Here is what I did on Wednesday... :)

Enjoy!

Note: the photos posted in this post are straight out of the camera, no adjustments. Mom had some problems with the ones she made adjustments too , and she didn't want to re-do them now.

Mom was going to make the final decision this morning on whether or not we were going to the character breakfast in Animal Kingdom.  Well, I made that decision easy for her by waking up in a good mood, and early, so obviously I wanted to go. :) So we got ready and off we went. It was a gorgeous day, chilly, and very windy.

Here I am playing, so ready to go while waiting for mom to finish locking up the car in the parking lot at Animal Kingdom. I have my allergen mask on due to the cold winds. They work wonders!

 Tree of Life.....

By the way, you like my new style; boots with capris? :) It was colder this morning than expected, so this is just until it warms up, or until I decide to change into pants.

We got to there a little early, so we walked around Africa Village to see what was here. We saw some monkeys along the beginning of the Gorilla Trail, but we didn't have time to do all of it, plus it didn't seem to be too wheelchair friendly. We went through some shops.

It was time to go to Tucker House Restaurant for breakfast. Mickey is suppose to be here along with some of his friends. We checked in, but then we had almost a 20 minute wait out on their back patio. It was a nice area, just cool and breezy. While we waited to be seated, Donald Duck was outside on the patio, so I got to go right up and see him since I had my special pass. By this time, I had been up a few hours already, so I was sleepy (ya know it was 7am Cali time right now) Donald Duck doesn't sign or stamp books (autographs), so I didn't get his.

When we first went in, mom wasn't sure if this was a good idea afterall. It was noisy, chaotic, and I just got agitated and upset, but mom calmed me down and I started to fall asleep. I just needed a period of time to adjust to the room being so noisy. Well, it quieted down as a lot of people left. I was in blah mode when Mickey came by, so I just wasn't in the mood to visit. Just bad timing. He was very cool though, and guess what? He remembered me as he was the Mickey that saw me at GKTW Monday morning. :)

After the room quited down, and I adjusted, I was in a good mood and ready for visiting. Mom spoke to our waitress, and she spoke to the person in charge of the characters there to let me go see Mickey how that I am feeling better. Apparently, Mickey doesn't ver off course, so mom told them that we would go to him, and we would make it a fast visit. It was approved, so we went on a "Mickey chase". I loved it! We had to go through the main area to another room where we waited just outside of the dining area (restaurant has closed doors for each dining area). I was so excited.

After I said good-bye to Mickey, we turned around and here comes Donald Duck. He stopped to visit with me, and gues what? He signed my autograph book. :):) He signed to me "it's our secret". :)

Mom and I went back to our table so mom could finish her breakfast.. I was worn out from all that fun with Mickey & Donald. Daisy Duck came by, but I was being a little touchy.

Goofy started leading a parade of kids in our dining area, but since the isles were "tight", mom just had me sit in their "line" to be a part of it. When Goofy would come by, he would stop and say hello. I was given a shaker thing as you see in the photo above to participate. Mom helped me shake it.  I really enjoyed that, plus it was fun!

After breakfast, we went to Camp Mickey to go see characters & Festival of the Lion King show. I really enjoyed the show, & watched it all the way through. I did choose to watch the subjects that were closer to where I was sitting. Seem easier.

Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale were all decked out in Christmas.. Fun!

I can't remember who they are:

Eeyore & Tigger was not with Pooh at their photo stop when I arrived, so mom found a quiet spot next to the area so I could get a treatment.
While getting my treatment, Tigger & Eeyore came walking by. They were back from their break. Eeyore, Pooh, Tigger were all decked out in Christmas.

Pooh came over to welcome Eeyore back & take
him to his station.

As I made my way over to see Pooh (that is where they wanted me to start), Eeyore came right over to say hello & help take me to Pooh.

We decided to go check out Dino Land, & we came across Goofy & Pluto. They were about ready to go on break, but they saw me first. Mom said we would come back, but they insisted to see me now. :)
I did a little bit of window shopping, but fell asleep. While we were in a store, an older gentleman (employee) came up to mom (us), & asked, "May I give this pin to her"? He gave me a Tinker Bell pin.

It was about 90 mins before dark, & we were wanting to get to Hollywood Studios before dark so we would be ready to see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.

We made it to Hollywood Studios. Another crazy route from the GPS, but picked up on
it right away & decided to try the navigator on mom's phone. Much better! It was a nice break
to be in the car though...

Both, mom & I had no idea on what to expect at Hollywood Studios, it was a weird, but kind of a neat place. We didn't really get to check out a lot of the park, but not sure what all we missed. We walked by a lot of buildings, but didn't check to see what they were all about.

By this time, we had about an hour or so until dark, so mom grabbed a map of characters for me to go meet. However, I choose to take a nap for a bit.

I saw Phineas & Ferb and Cars. I was asleep for both. Pretty cool that Cars was there. :)

We were walking down this very crowded street, & a gal came up to us asking if we'd seen Woody & Buzz yet. I said, "no, I didn't even know they were in this area". She said, "follow me". I heard the line was a 2 hr wait. She was so nice, our wait was about 5 mins.

When we were done, the gal told mom where to find a bunch of other characters including Fantasmic Mickey. Off we went.  The line was short, & I was still asleep, so mom decided we would just wait in line like everyone else. Good call mom! I woke up when the girl in front of me was visiting with this cute boy name Manny. I really liked him.

I wasn't too crazy about Jake... I never would look at him.

I didn't have room to put it in my book, but I have a photo of Mickey giving mom a hug. I forgot to mention how a lot of the characters have done that. The first day, so many of them did, that mom got a little emotional a few times. Still does at times even a few days later.

These guys were so cool! I really liked them...

I have new friends! I love Ralph & Vanellope.. They were so much fun, & their little area was so colorful. Now, I want mom to take me to go see Wreck-It-Ralph.

I am a little behind in my story here, but not much else to say than what you see in the photos. Mickey, Incredibles, Ralph & Vanellope were in one building. It was so crowded with long lines, but I got to go right in. Luckily, as I don't think I would of enjoyed it if I would of had to wait.

Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

We came to Hollywood Studios to see the dancing light show. It was AMAZING! I loved it. Approximately every 10 minutes, the lights dim & then dramatically spring to life - dynamically choreographed to traditional holiday music. Mom let me watch for an hour in a half as we walked up & down the street. Mom enjoyed it too.

The white dots in the photos is "snow". It was snowing up and down the street.. :)

We really wanted to stay longer, but we needed to go as it was getting windy, colder, plus it was late.

I definitely want to go back there over Christmas some year... :)

Hope you all enjoyed this day as much as I did. Next part is Thanksgiving day... :)

Love,

Kayla
