Minimum Days & Disneyland....

Last week I had minimum days and no school on Friday... I played Yahtzee one afternoon with mom since I didn't want to go outside on a walk, I just wanted to stay in with mom. I did beat mom fairly. She didn't let me have any extra turns like Grandma does, but I didn't need them for this game.

It's been three years since I have been to Disneyland (previous Disneyland trip), so I am way over due. Mom picked me up after school and off we went. We made a stop in Thousand Oaks to have Windy cut my hair. I needed to look nice for Mickey Mouse, plus I was over due for a cut as well.

I love getting my hair done, that it made me sleepy.

Grandma got there just as we were leaving. Grandma met mom and I there to follow us down to Disneyland. Well the plan didn't work. Grandma got separated from mom and we went a different way, but we arrived within ten minutes of one another.

We checked in to our hotel; Howard Johnson and then we went for a walk. We headed down to Downtown Disney, but I wasn't crazy about that idea, so we turned around and went to dinner by the hotel. I really was tired and didn't want to be out, but... Back to the hotel and off to bed. YAY! Finally I am buddled up in my blanket and going to sleep.

The next morning I was so anxious to get to Disneyland, but Grandma and mom just had to stop for breakfast on our way there. We walked from the hotel.

Off to Disneyland, FINALLY.

I'm getting my autograph book...

Our first stop was Cruella De Vil. She asked so many questions and talked a lot.

Then I saw Pluto just a few feet away from Cruella. I wasn't too thrilled about either one. I was just focused on getting to Mickey.

Mom took me on Snow White, and then I saw Woody and his girlfriend from Toy Story. That was pretty cool as I don't remember ever meeting them before. I did like the movie.

Next, we all went on Pirates of the Caribean, but I was still quite focused on getting to Mickey. We were going to go to Pooh land, but that area was closed, so no Pooh, Tiger or Eeyore, so then we went on the Jungle ride. There was some new things on that ride, which were pretty cool.

On our way to Toon Town (to see Mickey), we crossed paths with Mickey and Donald. Yay! They both made a quick stop to say hello to me :). They were on their way to the Melissa and Joey show being filmed in the park, but I was so excited that Mickey stopped and said hello.

We decided to go to It's a Small World since Mickey was going to be busy for a while. After that, we went to Toon town. Yay, as that means I will see Mickey soon. I ran into Goofy (mom almost typed Pluto).. Goofy didn't like mom. She insulted him by calling him Pluto. Goofy is pointing his name that he wrote in my book to mom, letting her know he was NOT Pluto, but Goofy. I thought it was a good idea to avoid Goofy the rest of the day.

Now we were off to Mickey's house, but I got stopped by Minnie when she was leaving her house. She wanted to say hello and all, but I ignored her. I just wanted to get to Mickey's house to see him.

Now we were at Mickey's house. YAY! We went through his cool house and waited in the theater room to see him. I was first through the door to see him. (Remember that I was first to see him)... I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He is soooo COOL!

That perked me up, so now I was ready for Disneyland. Mom then took me over to Minnie's house to see her. Alright, fine, if I must. I got to see Minnie, but I really didn't bother much with it, and I did let her sign my book. I did enjoy looking in her house afterwards.

My eyes are shut...

We then went on It's a Small World since I was more lively. I really like It's a Small World when I am in the mood for it. It was great!

Mom liked the Moose... There were several cool animal shaped plants.

We had lunch, and then mom thought to ask if there was a Tinker Bell Character at this Tinker Bell store stand, abd sure enough, the guy said right behind me is her and her fairies. It was a neat setting.

I ran into Mary Poppins and a friend of hers. I don't remember his name. She said her Penguins were recuperating from being out all day yesterday. That would of been so cool to meet them.

I got a really nice Mickey Mouse ring, that I just had to go show Mickey it, so off to his house we went. Well, I got in line in the theater and was the last one in the room, which meant all the other kids were in front of me to see Mickey Mouse before me. I watched them. Hmmmmm... I didn't like this at all. Went into Pout Mode and developed an attitude. It was finally my turn and I just couldn't look at Mickey. I did show him my ring, but I was upset at him. I didn't like the idea of sharing Mickey, so mom got me out of there. I decided to keep the "good" time earlier with him in my mind than this encounter.

There was a new Character Day at the Ranch, so we went and checked it out before it ended. Lots of Characters, but a lot of them were turning in for the night including the dwarfs from Snow White. That would of been so cool to of met them and to have them sign my book. Next time. I did get to see Donald Duck, Daisy and Pinnochio. I have never met Pinnochio before, so that was really cool. He was busy coloring with lots of kids, but he stepped away to visit with me for a minute.

Since we have never been on the train that circles the park, we decided to try it. It was pretty cool. After tomorrow land going to the main entrance, it goes through the Grand Canyon and the Age of the Dinosaurs. We got back off where we got on at in the jungle land area. I am not sure what that is called.

It got dark and all the lights came on. I loved it.

Mom took me to the hat store to find me a hat like my other one I wear sometimes. I got a neat one with a small Mickey on the front of it. Its really small of him, but so cool.

We took our time going down Main St heading towards the exit. I was really tired by then and ready to head back. Mom and grandma got me a sweatshirt with Mickey on the back of it. I needed a new white sweatshirt, so it's white with Mickey on it.

We walked through the exit and back to the hotel. Mom stopped at Mimi's to get a salad to take back to the hotel with us. Mimi's was just down the street from the hotel towards Disneyland.

Once I got back to the hotel, I put my PJ's on and off to bed I went. I slept great that night and slept late on Saturday. Grandma got up early and left for work back at home. Mom was getting antsy waiting for me to wake up that finally at 10:30am when I kind of woke up, she didn't let me go back to sleep, so I got up.

We took a nice long walk over to Downtown Disney to go to Cubby's store. I got Cubby a Pirate's outfit.

We walked back to the hotel to head home. It was a good trip, and am glad to be home. Now I have to write about my Disneyland trip for my school homework that is due on Monday.

Love,
Kayla
