My Birthday Weekend.....

Hello Everyone! :)

I first want to thank everyone for the comments and email comments on my previous blogs. :) It was nice to get them. Mommy read all of them to me.

Hope you all had a wonderful July 4th and long weekend.

Mommy and I went to Tehachapi to my grandpa and grandma's house for the weekend and to have my birthday party. I had a really good time and was very busy every day.

On my way up there, mommy took me to Cubby's store in Palmdale to get her a new outfit. Cubby is my bear from the Build A Bear store. I love to take her shopping. Here is a photo:

Morning of July 4th, the Hot Air Balloons were out and this was the scene from my grandpa and grandma's house.

We went to Cub Lake for the arts and crafts, the parade and to meet up with some relatives. I had a good time and enjoyed being out and about. Then we ran some errands to get ready for my birthday party that was being held on the 5th.

After a long day of being out and about, we went over to my great uncle's and aunts house for a delicious bbq. After we ate everyone headed into town for the fireworks, but mommy and I went back to grandma's house to get ready for bed. I was very tuckered out and tired of being in the car.

Party Day! :) Saturday, July 5th.

Today we went to 4 Island Lake and spent 6 hours there for my birthday party. While I waited for grandpa to get my tweety bird fishing pole all ready for me to fish, mommy and I sun-rested on the rock. It was a beautiful, but hot day there.

Well, the fishing didn't pan out too well for us girls. The guys caught several catfish and a large 16 1/2 3lb bass. Us girls even fished right next to them, in there spot, right next to their lines, but the fish only liked their worms I guess. It was still a nice day fishing.

After a few hours of fishing, grandpa Henry and great uncle Steve cooked up some good hot dogs for our late lunch. It was a nice feast.

Then it was time to help mommy decorate the cake. However, I ended up with a chocolate mouth, my hands in the cake while decorating (I wanted more) :) and got frosting all over my sleeve, shirt, jacket, tray. It was a mess, but so much fun. Grandma took me to the restroom afterwards to get me all cleaned up and I laughed the whole time. :)

I'm going to taste the frosting

I'm putting the color sprinkles on.

Mom just took my hand out of the cake as I sneaked a plunge into the cake. :)

Now its time for the presents. I love to open gifts. :)

Moving on to the next event..... Time for a little "my style" softball... :) As you might notice, the water bottle and a few other items were the bases and were only a few feet apart.

So batter up.. :)

Me hitting the ball.....

Mom helping me go through all the pitching motions and her saying "ready".

It was a great game and so much fun! :)

That pretty much tells the story of my birthday weekend. After the game, we cleaned up and headed back to grandpa and grandma's house.

Sunday, July 6th, mommy and I headed back home.

Have a great week... :)

Love, Kayla
